Paul Jaminet, Ph.D., was an astrophysicist at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. Paul’s experience overcoming a chronic illness led the Jaminets to develop the views of aging and disease presented in Perfect Health Diet.

Suffering from chronic illness and unable to get satisfactory results from doctors, husband and wife scientists Paul and Shou-Ching Jaminet took an intensely personal interest in health and nutrition. They embarked on five years of rigorous research. What they found changed their lives— and the lives of thousands of their readers.

In Perfect Health Diet, the Jaminets explain in layman’s terms how anyone can regain health and lose weight by optimizing nutrition, detoxifying the diet, and supporting healthy immune function. They show how toxic, nutrient-poor diets sabotage health, and how on a healthy diet, diseases often spontaneously resolve.

Paul Jaminet tirelessly provides one-to-one support for people who are working through health issues with diet. You can read his archives, get recipes and ask questions at this website PerfectHealthDiet.com

  2. what a great podcast, although there were some sound quality issues, the quality of the content, makes it such a minor inconvenience.
I’m glad you asked about K2, that’s something I really wanted to know about

    thanks again

    • Thanks for your generous comments!

My apologies for the poor initial sound on this important podcast! One day I’ll learn to not “upgrade” while I’m on a deadline!

(I hope to get back to this podcast and at least re-do the introductory remarks which sounds horrible due to all the ‘clipping’ of both words and silence.

K2 is such an important discovery! There are so many important ‘elements’ that have been discovered in the past 20 years in health and agriculture. What’s sad is that Dr Price was talking about the ‘effects’ of K2 a long time ago but only a few took notice. We owe it to Chris Masterjohn for bringing the importance of K2 to the attention of those of us on traditional whole food diets. (the importance of mychorizzae and glomalin to plants and soils is another example of important information about the natural world that has only recently come to our attention.)

      Again, your appreciation is appreciate.

And thanks to Dr Paul Jaminet for his generosity and patience!

  3. Fascinating! Really appreciated the way Dr. Jaminet combined his personal struggles, with science and HOPE!
Thanks Allan for another great episode of BD NOW!

  4. Dr Jaminet is exceptional. He and several other leading paleo teachers are very selfless in the amount of their own time they give to helping others to become well and in helping to create a market place that may drive better farming practices in the near future!
